Fees

Héloïse Bajer-Pellet law firm

A billing approach tailored to each client’s situation

To best meet our clients' expectations, our billing policy is adapted to the nature of each case and offers fee structures that align with individual circumstances and, where applicable, the volume of work entrusted to the firm.

Legal matters can often require a significant and sometimes unpredictable workload. To ensure full transparency, we conduct an initial case assessment and agree with the client on the most suitable fee arrangement from the following options:

Hourly billing: Fees are based on an hourly rate communicated to the client in advance. This rate covers all operating costs of the firm, with only external expenses (such as travel, bailiffs, correspondent lawyers, special postal fees, couriers, etc.) being charged separately when applicable. Time spent on the case is tracked in real-time, and each invoice is accompanied by a detailed breakdown of the time spent and tasks performed.

Flat-fee arrangements: Depending on the complexity, economic stakes, and legal intricacies of the case, we may offer a pre-agreed fixed fee, ensuring cost predictability for the client.

Success-based fees: In cases where appropriate, we may propose an additional contingency fee, in compliance with the ethical rules of the legal profession.

Fixed-rate initial consultation

The firm offers an initial consultation at a fixed rate of €150 excl. VAT (€180 incl. VAT). Clients may choose between an in-person or video consultation, depending on their preference. This first meeting allows the client to present their questions and explain their situation in detail and receive attentive listening and initial legal guidance from our team.

During this consultation, we conduct a preliminary analysis of the relevant documents to assess the key legal issues at stake. The discussion provides an opportunity to offer an initial legal opinion, outlining available options and the next steps to advance the case effectively.
